Managing “Up” in Your Organization

Together we will discuss the relationship between executive directors, who are visionaries with amazing ideas and the staff members (including development professionals) who implement these ideas. Managing our boss’ expectations in taking their ideas into actual programs and events with set budgets and busy calendars can be difficult. Let’s talk about how to manage your boss’ expectations and effectively “manage” up.

This Roundtable Discussion will be led by Amy Zacks, LIFE & LEGACY Coach, Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Mercer and Cheri Durst, Vice President of Development & Strategic Partnerships, United Way of Greater Mercer County.

10:00   Individual discussion, one-on-one chit-chat

Breakfast roundtables, led by WID members, provide an opportunity for frank discussion and a safe place to brainstorm new ideas and strategies.  All levels of experience in Development and Fundraising are welcomed.
