Mentoring Program 2011-12
While everyone can benefit from having a mentor to offer guidance, advice, and/or moral support, studies show that women, in particular, thrive under the dedicated attention of an experienced professional in their field. A strong mentor-protégé relationship provides an opportunity to discuss issues openly and honestly without fear of negative consequences within your organization. Whether it’s receiving answers to specific fundraising strategy questions, or advice about how to advance their careers, women tend to have greater job success when they have a mentor. Every member of WID — whether serving as a mentor or a protégé — can contribute to the development profession by participating in this program. (Additional information on our “Membership“page)
