WOMEN IN DEVELOPMENT is now accepting memberships for our 2011-2012 year.
In January, at the request of many members, we are holding two smaller breakfast roundtables rather than our normal lunchtime program. The breakfasts will run from 8:30 – 10:00 and will be held at Bon Appetit in the Princeton Shopping Center (301 North Harrison Street, Princeton, NJ 08540). Grab a coffee, grab a bagel and then grab a seat for an informal, conversational and informational chat.
January 20th: Senior Development Professionals (10+ Years in Development) – Senior Development Professionals will discuss topics such as development dos and don’ts, everything you always wanted to know about Fundraising but were afraid to ask, and fundraising challenges, successes and lessons learned.
January 27th: Executive Directors – Executive Directors will discuss topics such as how to manage the shop and raise money too, Board/ED relations, and strategic planning for development and beyond. We ask that you RSVP as follows:

Mentoring Program 2011-12
While everyone can benefit from having a mentor to offer guidance, advice, and/or moral support, studies show that women, in particular, thrive under the dedicated attention of an experienced professional in their field. A strong mentor-protégé relationship provides an opportunity to discuss issues openly and honestly without fear of negative consequences within your organization. Whether it’s receiving answers to specific fundraising strategy questions, or advice about how to advance their careers, women tend to have greater job success when they have a mentor. Every member of WID — whether serving as a mentor or a protégé — can contribute to the development profession by participating in this program. (Additional information on our “Membership“page)
